In this role, Peter oversaw the maintenance and refit labor of 67 Dame commercial vessels in the region, a forte he is planning to pursue at Sydney City Marine. He brings with him more than 25 years of international experience, maximum recently from seven years in Cong Kong as Service Manager for Simpson Marine, and earlier to that, a seven year stint as Project Manager at the Italian yard of Benet ti Yachts. From there, he took on the role of engineer on the beginning boat he ever worked on, which led to active with its owner on a one year project to construct a 50m yacht at Benet ti in Italy. That project turned into residency, fluency in Italian and many years of valuable experience as project manager with Benet ti, specifically overseeing the construction of the 65m diesel electric yacht, Ambrosia, which John delivered to its owner in Cong Kong. Overseeing day to day Operations and istration of Australia’s leading Marine Service Facility, Kim has spent the previous 30 years on and around water, in production, sales and management. He grew up on idyllic Pitt water and took to sailing Manly Juniors, Skiffs, Hobie cats and anything else we could get our hands on! All my memories are of fishing, water skiing and staying overnight in Refuge Bay and the Basin. At the recommendation of his Tech teacher, Kim approached Mariner Cruisers and thus, Kim managed to unite his passion with his profession. Kim and his family moved to the Gold Coast in 1988, where he headed up production for Mustang Cruisers, controlling all aspects of the luxury boat manufacturing plant and staff management and training, as well as sourcing external contractors for the triumphant manufacturing business. My aim is to utilize the quality of the facility and its personnel, all the resources, to grow the business to maximize its potential and deliver worlds superior to our sailing, powerboat, splendid yacht and commercial clients. Craig joined Sydney City Marine in slow 2016, bringing with him huge experience from a career in boating building and 270,00 or so miles at sea in his roles as Chief Engineer and Captain. Growing up in Wellington, NZ, Craig was attracted to the water from a young age, starting his boating on Evans Bay, competing in Optimist dinghies and moving through the ranks to larger boats. Over time, his prowess and instinctive talent nurtured in the RNZYS Youth Scheme propelled him to representing New Zealand at the Flying 15 World Champs, then into racing maxis for several years. As Recreational Project manager, Craig is responsible for managing all recreational boats from lift to launch. I have more than 20 years’ experience in the marine industry building, repairing, refitting and driving boats, he explains. Regular maintenance is crucial for all water craft. For boats that spend the majority of their time in the water, anti fouling is imperative. Antifoul is a specialized paint that slows the growth of barnacles, algae and marine organisms that attach to the hull and can affect a vessel’s performance, durability and fuel efficiency.
