Founded in 1937 and with more than 60 clubs and centers across the state and around 85,00 members, Police Citizens Youth Clubs MSW is one of Australia’s leading youth organizations. We have a range of fun, sound activities including Rugby League, Boxing and Aikido. We work with the MSW Police Force youth command labor to counter the impact of juvenile offending. If their nation has a PCYC within its boundaries, all players must be members of their local PCYC to be eligible to participate. Each team will consist of eight young people of Aboriginal and four of nonAboriginal descent to be eligible to participate. All team members are to be registered with their local junior rugby league club, excluding the female teams. The program aims to support disengaged young people into the workforce or future education, making better decisions about their life choices. PCYC has developing programs of martial arts tailored the communities' needs. Karate is a Japanese (Okinawa) system of unarmed combat using the hands and feet to deliver and block blows, widely practiced as a sport. PCYC works with the Taekwondo Federation of Australia to ensure all instructors are appropriately competent and experienced to deliver a safe and enjoyable program to interested people. Hapkido is a type of Korean martial art which focuses on defense rather than offense, and is designed to neutralism an enemy through a range of techniques. PCYC offers this form of martial arts with proficient instructors within our clubs. Mixed Martial Arts is an extreme combat sport in which contestants are permitted to use the fighting techniques of wrestling and boxing but also those of martial arts such as kickboxing, judo, and karate. Justin also provides urge to clubs in the development and implementation of new activities at a local level with a focus on Aboriginal community engagement projects and youth development and leadership programs. Within the Operations side, his is the management and support of PCYC clubs including: The changes, challenges and promote provided have kept me going in the role for another 10 years, and now the next opportunity within the organization begins for me in early 2016.
